After reading the workbook from NZCER 'Key Competencies, Assessment and Learning Stories' it adds more ammunition to my TAI focus embedding teaching the K.C's to the students more explicitly as to what has been done in the past. WHAT IS CALLED 'SPLIT SCREEN PEDAGOGY, teaching the content and what needs to be mastered in the subject but also the learning skills and habits required to achieve this.
for example EC and may other target kids KC managing self, - taking responsibility as a learner and for themselves as a learning so part of the ASSESSMENT would be : gets on with the task, sets goals, persists and reflects on learning.
Need to incorporate this into what I am doing for each child and also discuss with them as I am assessing them on a task. Need to do this with the students
