Innovative learning environment

About to begin team teaching. We're not waiting for the wall to be removed!! Quite excited about it. The first week will be to set up important routines, introduce trust passes so the children can go anywhere in the school grounds. These will come with specifics, as in students will need to articulate exactly what they are learning.

Target learners will benefit from this as workshops are going to be set up. Not too different from what I was doing in the past. These are the kids that do find to hard to manage themselves so this set up week will be important. We introduced the concept to both classes last week and they are all excited.

A parent meeting will be held on Monday for any questions and we will explain terms such as agency, 'Innovative learning environment.

It is going to enable

  • More detailed analysis of children’s needs through two teachers talking about and considering current needs and next steps for every child
  • More opportunities for children to work in a setting that suits them due to more spaces within the class
Going to set up classroom spaces:
silent spaces, collaboration spaces, workshop spaces, tutorial spaces, creative spaces)

Allowing powerful reciprocal teaching Kids teaching others their skills helps them embed their knowledge further.
