In the classroom changes to implement: Melbourne ILE Student Agency

After visiting Melbourne I am beginning to think we have gone too fast too soon in setting up environments. For the children specifically. I believe they need more scaffolding.
Ways to implement I want to try with discussions with hub buddy:

• Whanau class meets in the morning set up timetables and discuss the day ahead. How do we incorporate prayers in this? - maybe the following: Prayer. Read scripture. Wouldn't give a title but read a scripture and ask what could is be called.Does anyone have anything to share?Only 10 minutes as don't want kids sitting but will have a prayer focus.
• Toku Ako thoughts?  Goal setting: I am thinking we make toku ako a lot smaller and a large focus is children trying to independently prove their goals in literacy and maths. Given the skills to do this, great use of the literacy and maths hubs. Set aside a time and student book in with proof. Proof - could be blogger reflections, work examples. Alos have a time each week where we have a focus group to spend time with these children and check on task. 
• Goal setting for students: Do we have a set time and a teacher roves and it is silent time trying to think and prove the particular goal you are working on. with the help of reflective questions.

Wonder ? Maybe this is a huge focus for Toku Ako have a goal and their time is to solely prove this   Unpack their goal and think and provide evidence of this. How? Teacher conference time show them where to go for help and how to help them if they're stuck.
